Novi Sad Al Wahda is search of a third FIBA 3×3 World Tour title

After being hosted for two consecutive years in Abu Dhabi, FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final, the pinnacle event of the 3×3 basketball world, will move to China, in Beijing. The UAE and Abu Dhabi representatives, team Novi Sad Al Wahda, will try to win a third title, after the ones in 2014 and 2015

The 12 teams that will play the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Bloomage Beijing Final (28-29 october) have been confirmed after the last Masters of the season in Mexico City, Mexico on September 30 – October 1.

4 teams have won at least one 3×3 World Tour Masters this season, securing a direct spot in the World Tour Final, they were Liman (Debrecen and Mexico City), Ljubljana, who won the first Masters of the season in Saskatoon back in July, Novi Sad Al Wahda (Lausanne, Prague and Utsunomiya) and Piran (Chengdu).

The 12 finalists at the World Tour are the top 12 teams in the World Tour standings after the last Masters of the season.

3. Liman (SRB)
4. Zemun Master (SRB)
5. Piran (SLO)
6. Riga (LAT)
7. Saskatoon (CAN)
8. Belgrade (SRB)
9. Krakow R8 Basket (POL)
10. Kranj (SLO)
11. Lausanne (SUI)
12. Humpolec (CZE)

Additionally, the top 6 teams qualified for the World Tour Final will receive additional prize money for their pre-finals standing. The allocated prize money is as follows: (1) 30,000$  (2) 24,000$ (3) 20,000$ (4) 16,000$ (5) 12,000$ (6) 10,000$. Prize money reached an all-time high 600,000$ this year in the FIBA 3×3 professional season.

Team Novi Sad wins the 3×3 All Stars

Team Novi Sad dominated Doha 20-12 in Friday’s final of the FIBA 3×3 All Stars, which was staged on Katara Beach with the city skyline on the horizon.

Marko Savic topped all scorers in the deciding game, with 8 points, including three shots from behind the arc. His team-mates Dejan Majstorovic and number one 3×3 player in the world Dusan Domovic Bulut contributed 7 and 5 points respectively.
