Al Wahda Novi Sad, the UAE representative in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour, won the Rio de Janeiro Masters during the last weekend, their second victory of the season after Manila.
They defeated Santos (BRA) in the final, 21-15. Dusan Domovic Bulut, the world number one, topped all scorers in Rio, with 46 points as his team went undefeated, five wins in five games.
To complete the Al Wahda dominance in Rio, Dejan Majstorovic won the Shootout Contest.
The reigning World Tour champions had already clinched a spot to the Final after winning the first Masters of the season in Manila on 1-2 August 2015 and featured in their fourth World Tour event this year. The victory in Brazil comes after Novi Sad Al Wahda finished 7th in Prague on 8-9 August and 3rd in Beijing on 15-16 August.
Santos and Team Rio will join Al Wahda in the Abu Dhabi Final, which will take place in the Nation Towers parking, on October 15-16.
The best 12 teams from all over the world will be in Abu Dhabi for the biggest 3×3 basketball event of the year, the Grand Finale of World Tour.
