The 3×3 Head of UAE Basketball Association, H.E. Khalid Al Hanaei, was appointed FIBA 3×3 Consul, during the latest meeting of the FIBA 3×3 Advisory Board, that took place during the FIBA 3×3 All Stars in Doha, Qatar.

The UAE representative, together with the other nominee, H.E. Saadoun S Alkuwari from QBF,  will have the mission to accelerate the development of 3×3 in the Middle East, as was stated in a FIBA press release.

“These nominations follow the trend initiated a few months ago when former Indonesian Basketball Federation Secretary General Agus Mauro was named FIBA 3×3 Ambassador”, was added.

In the same meeting, Sport Arena, one of the promoters responsible for the organization of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final, was named representative for 3×3 promoters.

FIBA praised one more time the success of the event organized in Abu Dhabi with the huge support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and thanked Abu Dhabi authorities for the involvement in the growing of 3×3 basketball.
