Tight battle for the quarter finals at Abu Dhabi 3×3 Challenger

In three pools out of four, the battle for the Quarter Finals of Abu Dhabi 3×3 Challenger is still opened, after the first day of the competition that takes place in Yas Mall Abu Dhabi. The tournament will continue Friday, starting 2pm, until 9 pm.

Only in Pool B, Team 3×3 Ljublijana Brezovica and Bone Collectors Dubai Marina are already qualified for the second round, after both teams won their first two games against Doha Ballers and Brooklyn Ballerz.

In Pool A, Al Wahda Abu Dhabi, the team to beat at Abu Dhabi 3×3 Challenger, is leading the way to the Quarter Finals, after two comfortable victories, against Al Ain and Air Force Jeddah, 21-13 and 21-6.

Al Wahda will meet Glenelg in the final pool game, the latter still having a chance to advance. The hot Bazgan brothers put on a 2 point shootout clinic in the game with with Air Force Jeddah, 19-14 for Glenelg and they will try to upset the World Tour and All Star winners, on Friday.

In Pool C, Team Steaua CSM EximBank Bucharest is still alive after a cold blooded buzzer beater for the win, made by Georges Darwiche in the game against AUSharjah, final score 17-15. Steaua will face The One Damascus on Friday, in decisive game for the QF.

Wild Snakes from Poland had a hot start with two wins in the first two games against Doha Juniors and Xosslu Dubai. They will face Team Muscat in their final Pool game. Xosslu and Doha Juniors will meet in crucial game for qualification in the Quarter Final.

Basketball will come back in the spotlight in Yas Mall on Friday, starting 14.00 PM. Here is the full schedule of the day:
